Adding a New User on the Cave Computer

Any current user can add a new user to the Cave computer. This is done by running a script that will add the new user to the head node and to the render nodes.

1. Open a terminal window
2. In the terminal window, give the following command: cave-adduser <new user name> <new full name> <email address>
3. Enter a new password twice when prompted.

Please only add a new user by using this script, this insures that the information is correctly passed on to the render nodes.
