Mapping Functions (2 Button)

Prepare yourself:

  • Make sure you have the Crusta_MapSymbols.cfg in the folder from which you run Crusta (e.g., ~/src/Crusta/final).
  • Launch Crusta
  • Select two unassigned buttons. In the following we'll use #2 & #3. (An alternative is Control+L mouse and Control+Rmouse)

Tie cursor to Crusta surface

  • press #2, select “Transformer > Mouse to Screen Projector” and then press & hold #3 without releasing #2
  • Release #3 and then release #2.
  • press #2, select “Transformer > Crusta Surface” and then press & hold #3 without releasing #2
  • Release #3 and then release #2.
  • Test by navigating. When the cursor is moved behind the screen plane (white cross hairs that appears when using the mouse) there should be a red or green line that drops down from the tip of the cursor to the surface. This is where mapping nodes would drop (if we had them set up).

Set up mapping tool:

  • press #2, select “Crusta Tool > Mapping Tool > Polyline Drawing Tool”, and then press & hold #3 without releasing #2
  • Release #3 and then release #2.
