Virtual Still Camera

When using any of the CAVES applications on a desktop a user can capture an image by taking a screen shot. For Mac OS X the key combination to capture a selection of your screen using a cross-hair mouse pointer is:

shift-command-4

When working in the CAVES a user can capture an image by assigning the Virtual Still Camera to a desired button. The virtual Still Camera saves a 2D image of the area outlined by a red rectangle at the angle indicated by the wand.

To do this you assign the Virtual Still Camera to a desired button by selecting an open button and then:

   > Tool Selection Menu
     > Utility
       > Virtual Still Camera

When an image is needed click the assigned button and the 2D image is then saved to the desktop.
